Compositeur et saxophoniste, Mario Allard a lancé son premier album avec son quintette en 2007. Gagnant du Prix Galaxie Radio-Canada/CBC en 2008 au FIJM, il a poursuivi des études avec Donny McCaslin à Brooklyn. Diplômé d'une maîtrise en Interprétation Jazz de l'université McGill en 2016, il sortira son 2ième album en quinette en octobre 2017.
